Realtime Worlds has confirmed that players of APB will be played advertisements over the in-game voice chat, with users given the option to disable the commercials for a small fee.

The ads will be heard no more than once every three hours and will only be played when entering a district.

VOIP Premium, which removes the ads, will be available to purchase for 30, 90 or 180 days, though pricing has not been revealed.

ABP launches in the UK on Friday.
