Ensemble Studos' latest empire building game is available in demo form.

Age of Empire is one of the most popular strategy series of all time and the latest game in the franchise will be released on the PC in October. Thankfully you won't have to wait that long to play it as Microsoft has released a playable demo that features two missions and a skirmish.

Weighing in at 375MB the demo probably isn't for non-broadband users, but everyone else can find the download on the game's official website.
