XNA games only available until March 9

Games will stop working after this date, with full launch of the service not scheduled until holiday 2008.

David Weller, community manager at Microsoft's Game Technology Group, has offered further information on yesterday's announcement concerning Xbox LIVE Community Games.

The seven available titles on the service as really just a small sample of what gamers can look forward to when the full service launches later this year. These games will only function until March 9, with the free game XNA game launcher only available to download until February 24.

Weller notes: "After that, you will have to wait until the holiday release of Xbox LIVE Community Games before you can play again."

During its GDC keynote Microsoft announced it hopes to have over 1000 games available for Xbox 360 by the end of the year.
