Xbox One's Upload Studio will launch alongside the console in November but will only allow video sharing over Xbox Live, Microsoft's senior director of product management and planning Albert Penello has told Destructoid.

It had been believed that user made videos would be shareable over YouTube and Facebook, but this won't be patched into the console until next year.

Xbox One Upload Studio records 720p video at 30 frames per second, with the last 30 seconds of gameplay always available to quickly edit and share.

I'm not here to defend MS, nor was I trying to start a flame war.

I'm just pointing out this isn't a big deal and that the PS4 has the same issue. I'd rather have the companies be upfront about stuff whether it's negative or not, people need to know this feature won't be available until after launch.

He said it won't until sometime after launch, which is correct.
HDMI capture will be patched in to the PS4.

I do find the scenario a bit irritating though.
That consoles are being pushed out before really being 'content complete'.
Somewhat concerns me

Basically Microsoft keeps saying stuff like "we won't have this until later etc." That is not going to win any support now is it. Granted Sony has also said stuff won't be available at launch but Microsoft keep adding to the list. They should of just been quite and then no one would moan because by the time they moan the consoles would be out and they would already be working on release YouTube support.

Another thing Microsoft does is talk tech but they don';t explain what it will mean. For example they mentioned DRM but did not mention anything that DRM would enable people to do until they decided to 180 the idea. Where as Sony says what the feature does and thats it. They will; be tech behind it and they might be lying (kinda) but it will enable them to get more sales.

Basically what I am saying is Microsoft and Sony need to be positive about their consoles, if they keep on being negative then they won't be getting any fans.

Next matter....

1. Why did you have to try turn this into a flame war? my comment was non bias, I did not even mention Sony yet you bring it up straight away.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, they should just let people find out the hard way and not say anything or let people know about this?

Also, the PS4 won't upload to youtube either, and won't allow external capture devices to record gameplay until some time after launch. MS is allowing external capture devices.

I feel as if Microsoft should just stop saying stuff. They are not helping themselves, while I understand why it won't be available at launch other people won't and it will most likely cost them sells
