Worldwide PS3 sales only 4.28 million

So why would Devs go and waste time on a recycled GC,I understand they want money [But really, at the end of the day all you have done is created a game that isn't eye candy, and you go home to your family and think about how you waisted time developing for a GC plus console]. And i've seen no games that are huge and true next gen. how long can devs keep compressing everything on a small format disc that isn't as big as the competition's. this is where Blu-Ray comes in. I cant see anything special about the Wii. How can anyone stand to look at washed out graphics from 2001. As it is i'm getting tired of my PS2's graphics. You pay for a cheap console and you get cheap everything. LOL Wii is totally dated. And I know devs are yawning at the lack of power and excitement of the Wii ---outdated for real !!! Reply

I have no clue why people would by UT3 for anything but the system it was made for - the PC. Save the money and get a nice fast PC, if you need something to play with your friends the Wii is a fun party system. Reply

While you peons fight about which console is the best I have fun playing games on all 3 of them (plus I have a pretty sweet gaming PC). Don't get me wrong, I know not everyone can afford to be like that, I couldn't when I was younger either. Gaming is a very personal thing. The best console to me might be the worst console to you. If you chose to only own one console, just be happy with that and leave the other console owners alone. Unless you are unhappy with your purchase and feel the need to justify it by constantly trash talking the other systems, in that case you are just pathetic. In either case I will make one recommendation. If you are a serious gamer then you shouldn't buy a Wii unless you plan on getting a 360 or PS3 as well. The Wii will have some great games but they will be few and far between. I own a Wii and it's fun, but I would be pretty pissed if it was the only system I owned. Just a word of caution, I am not dissing the Wii. Reply

I personally only own a wii ( perhaps a xbox soon), but i just dont see the justification of buying a ps3 RIGHT NOW. yes i know there 'will' be games but not right now, so really if i bought a ps3 now, it would collect dust. I don't believe the devs will give up on the wii. i just think that they will look at it in a business perspective. why wouldnt they spend less money to develop a game on the wii than the ps3, and make heaps more profit out of it? the eventual winner is most likely the PS3, don't get me wrong, the ps3 might be around when we see say a WII HD, or a XBOX720 etc. it might actually last two life cycles. Which console is deem suprior depends on what you define as superior. Graphics? Or game play? or a something else? Reply

The reason I bought my Wii was to play games, not to babble to my friends how I press a button and I kill someone in one of your highly anticipated titles "Killzone". And I don't understand how you P$3 owners live at night knowing that $ony are eating your money! £425 is ridiculous, and so are the prices for some of the games! £50? I would rather spend that at a Theme Park than pay one of your Movie Tie-Ins that you're starting to see more of. Buy a P$3 if you want Blu-ray player, don't buy it for the games. Report Reply

Japan doesn't matter for sales, only the games they put out. And to the guy who posted about EA "backing the wrong horse" Rofl! EA is a joke of a company now. They are only in it for the money. Look at the ports they are giving to the PS3, they are horrible. What games do they have that really pushes the envelope for technology anyway? The PS3/360 are the future. The Wii may not be a fad but it is definatley another gamecube. PS3 will have all the best games. You guys keep saying that ps3 fans always say "wait". What does the Wii have thats any good right now? Nothing, even less than the PS3. Sure you will get all your good games in 2007, but I will get mine in 2008. By then you should be able to afford a PS3 if you save up now. I suggest you do it because the Wii will be old news. PS3 is superior in all fronts except for price and that only matters for cheap people. So if you are hardcore buy a PS3, otherwise grandma wants to play some mario party with you. Reply

mechagouki	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post fanboyism is becoming so rampant on these forums, don't be embarrassed if you have a PS3, you'll get some good games, I went for gamecube last gen and am still happy with my choice, I just traded a GBA SP for a PS@ last month and am starting to play the PS@ games that interest me, there are so many games on so many systems now you would never have the time let alone the money to play all the really good games, pick a system and live with your choice, in 10 years time PS3s, 360s and Wiis will be selling at Cash Converters for $50 - Toshiba will have the best selling home console (maybe!). Everyone should stop getting so partisan about their favourite system, it's really a waste of energy. Reply

For real gamers it won't be the console of choice. I believe the PS3 will catch and surpass the 360, the Wii will do well but it's a slightly different market.
