In 1977, Fleetwood Mac released their 11th studio album: Rumours. The follow-up to their self-titled LP, Rumours was a huge success for the British-American group. The Grammy award-winning 39:43 tour de force has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, and regularly pops up in top albums of all time lists. So, I feel that an Obsidian spokesperson saying that 'it still holds up' is a bit obvious, quite frankly.
According to Kotaku, Microsoft is in the process of closing a deal to purchase the Fallout: New Vegas developer, adding to the growing list of studios it's hoovering up. Little else is known at this stage, and nothing's been confirmed by either side as of yet, however, both Obsidian and Microsoft have commented on the matter. Well, sort of.
A Microsoft person told Kotaku that 'We do not comment on rumors or speculation.' Standard. Obsidian, on the other hand, said: “Unfortunately, we don’t comment on rumors or speculation other than to say that the Rumors album by Fleetwood Mac still holds up.”
This does put pressure on the next games entity that has to issue a statement about them not issuing a statement, though. Is there an album called 'No comment,' or a movie called 'Speculation,' or something?
Anyway, here's a live version of The Chain, because it's one of the many brilliant songs on the absolutely fantastic Rumours.
