Movie streaming service added to Wii U.

The Wii U eShop's first update includes a downloadable version of farm game Funky Barn and the launch of the free LOVEFiLM app, enabling LOVEFiLM subscribers to use the streaming movie service through their console.

Funky Barn, which also launched on disc alongside the Wii U, sees players populating paddocks with farm life and building whacky equipment to build a crazy farm. If the sound of that makes you feel like a pig in mud, you can snap it up for £39.99.

Alongside Funky Barn, a Wii U port of 3DS puzzle-shooter Mighty Switch Force is also available to download.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition costs £8.99 and has players playing as Patricia Wagon, a cybernetic police officer who can use her helmet to manipulate the world around her.

Alternatively, on the 3DS eShop you can now pick up Paper Mario: Sticker Star and side-scrolling platformer 2 Fast 4 Gnomz. They'll set you back £39.99 and £4.49 respectively.

Be warned if you're thinking about the former, though. Martin described Mario's latest adventure as being "paper thin".

Using the Wii U GamePad, you can browse and search for programming from sources you subscribe to, including cable and satellite channels and video-on-demand services.
Nintendo TVii will be available in selected regions throughout Europe in 2013."

There should be video content for free really like MS and Sony do. I don't see why not as they are big adverts basiclly to sell new games anyway.

Now just awaiting BBC iPlayer and 4OD and we're all set. I would like to see a ONM app to read the magazines on the game pad. Of course there will be a paid subscription with a bonus offer of a free eShop Wii U game.

Yes, you can. And with Netflix too. You can switch between the TV and screen at any time.
