Wii sales reach year high in UK

57% increase in White Wii Sports Resort console bundle.

ChartTrack reports that the Wii enjoyed its strongest sales week of the year in the UK last week, helped by a 57 per cent increase in sales of the White Wii Sports Resort Pack.

The home entertainment sales tracker also pointed to strong debut sales for the Black Wii Sports Resort bundle.

Wii Software sales were also strong, with Wii Sports Resort taking the No.1 spot thanks to a three per cent increase in sales over its debut week. Wii Sports Resort saw a 63 per cent increase week on week and Mario Kart Wii climbed nine places to No.11.

But the PS3 was a new unit and a price cut and it still didn't sell like it should. I should be helping the sales tally out soon enough though! My comment wasn't a dig at PS3 just how ludicrous sales are for Nintendo when they simply change a colour in relation to the PS3 that made a huge overhaul and a more appealing console but of course I forgot your brother is Ken Kutaragi and you take anything said about beloved Sony to heart! I just didn't reply because it was a stupid comment on your behalf trying to make me out to be a Sony fanboy. If it was so, would I have a 360?
