PS3 a distant second with closer to five million units.
According to recent sales figures released by Japanese publisher Enterbrain, Wii sales in Japan stood at a huge 10,009,736 units as of February 28, 2010.
The Wii holds a huge lead over the competition: PS3 sales are a few hundred thousand short of five million units, while Xbox 360 is three and a half million units back at 1,235,049 units.
Despite the Wii's dominance, it hasn't managed to replicate the success of the PS2, at least not yet. Sony's record setter sold 10 million units in 131 weeks, while it took Wii 170 weeks.
