New channel to enable Wii owners to send each other Virtual Console games.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has told the Wall Street Journal that the upcoming Wii Gift Channel will be released worldwide in December. This new channel will enable Wii owners to send their friends gifts, including Virtual Console games, which is nice. Expect further details nearer the time of the channel's launch.
Iwata also revealed to the Wall Street Journal that Nintendo has plans to roll out a host of new "practical" tools for the DS, said to be of use to people in "places like train stations, amusement parks or museums".
As with the Wii Gift Channel, expect further details over the coming months.
