"Well-known" EA brand getting social game treatment

A "well-known" EA brand will receive the social game treatment this year.

That's according to the Wall Street Journal, which says the game will be made by EA-owned Playfish.

“Social gaming as an industry has grown pretty quickly, but it also means it has to grow up pretty quickly,” said Kristian Segerstrale, president and general manager of Playfish.

“I think we’re going to see it rapid maturing over the next 12 to 24 months.”

What could the "well-known" EA brand be?

Meh, by social games, they could mean anything, including an MMO, although that does seem unlikely. Or, it may be some game like PS Home or the social aspects of Demon's Souls

They have so many IP's it's unreal,
Well, actually, Unreal is Epic Games,
but Im with nch2k1, look back at their catalogue and they might find a few gems.

I always hold out hope that they'll go and check their back catalogue and think about bringing out Road Rash or Desert Strike, although I guess there not exactly well known these days so I wont hold my breath
