UK to get its own Microsoft event

XO7 isn't happening, but Microsoft will be hosting a pre-Christmas event to showcase its platforms.

With Microsoft's X0 event not taking place this year, the platform holder has revealed that it will be hosting localised press events to showcase its upcoming titles. Everything is still up in the air, but an MS rep has revealed to GamesIndustry.biz that we should expect something here in the UK.

"We're looking at doing something here in the UK. It will be from a UK point of view, not from a European point of view," said the Microsoft representative.

Timing is still to be confirmed, but whatever takes place will do so before Christmas.
