UK to get 150,000 PS3s at launch. Or is it?

Internet reports suggested that the UK would receive 150,000 PlayStation 3 consoles at the launch on November 17.

News has spread about apparent launch numbers of the PlayStation 3 in the UK. The figure of 150,000 seemed to originate from Official PlayStation Magazine, but the Magazine is denying it said such a thing.

According to CVG, the launch allocation figure was based on an analyst's quote, and reports that the magazine had concrete details are false.

A Sony Computer Entertainment Europe representative couldn't elaborate on current rumours, informing Pro-G that Sony is "on target to ship 2 million units globally at launch and 6 million units by end of fiscal year."
