Ever wonder how Xbox One might look in your home, stacked up against your Xbox 360, PS3 and other AV devices?

Microsoft's senior director of product management Albert Penello tweeted a picture of Xbox One in his home earlier today – revealing that the huge console might not look too overbearing amidst your AV setup after all.

Microsoft has yet to confirm the exact dimensions of Xbox One, but consumers have previously criticised it for it for its size.

Xbox One launches this November in the UK. Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that the console had been delayed until 2014 in eight European territories.

Really don't get the fuss over its size. It's going under your TV, and you'll only look at it when slotting discs in.
I'd prefer it to be this size with plenty of room for cooling, than look sleek but end up dying from its version RRoD or YLoD (I experienced both this gen).

That TV is at least 50"

The one thing about Kinect that annoyed me was the large room needed for it to work, not the physical size. Now they have apparently sorted this, it should work a lot better.

My issue was Kinect didn't have any space in my setup, now it does, it's only just a bit taller than the power brick. So now all Microsoft have to do is show me how great it is to game with. Seeing as that's highly unlikely I'm still leaning towards the PS4, especially when I remember I haven't been with Sony since the PS2 so I've got a lot of exclusives catching up to do.

well if you don't want to use the kinect there really is no point in buying the xboxone in the first place, is there?

Notice the original Kinect right next to it, barely any size difference :P

FM: it's not like it makes much difference for you though surely? You didn't want Kinect anyway and recent news says you dont even have to plug the thing in! Problem solved!

What are you talking about that thing is honking massive! The only reason anything there looks small is because his huge TV distorts the scale ;)

It could be the size of a desktop pc for all I care, just as long as it worked better then the Xbox 360.

Dammit, just when I convinced myself I was going with PS4 this time around they show me that Kinect is really tiny. Amazing the difference one photograph can make sometimes. Now I'm back on the fence again.
