Super Mario All-Stars heading to Wii?
New special edition version revealed by Japanese retailers.
News of a Super Mario All-Stars Special Edition for Wii has been leaked from a Nintendo retailer briefing in Japan.
All-Stars was released back in 1993 for the SNES, featuring graphically updated versions of NES games Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.
The new special edition will come bundled with a soundtrack CD containing tracks spanning the entire franchise, plus a booklet on the history of the jumping plumber. There's no indication that the games will receive another graphical overhaul.
It'll be out soon, too. The leaked info puts the title down for release on October 21, 2010 at a budget price of approximately £20.
Nintendo UK has told MCV that everything you've just read "is purely rumour and speculation".

Pleeeasee let this be true >_< I never completed the old Mario games and I'd love to have a collection like this, but an OST as well!!? Hopefully Nintendo are now learning that adding stuff to games outside of the game is something their fans really want, like a MAP with my god damn Zelda games... how hard is it... really?

Nintendo has confirmed this now, but whether it will leave Japan we don't yet know. Also, it wont be £20 because that's a direct conversion and doesn't account for exchange rates, which are especially high between the EU and Japan at the moment, so I'd actually guess £30.
