Steam Holiday Sale has begun

Kicks off with great deals on THQ and LucasArts game packs.

Valve has announced that the Steam Early Holiday sale has begun, offering reduced prices on a range of games, some with as much as 75 per cent off the usual selling price.

Some of today's deals include 50 per cent off Batman: Arkham Asylum, Champions Online, Fallen Earth and Far Cry 2, and a massive 75 per cent saving on Codemasters GRiD.

Perhaps the best deals, though, are the LucasArts and THQ game packs. The LucasArts Premiere Pack contains 16 titles for only £34.99, while the THQ game pack features 15 titles (including Saints Row 2, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Dawn of War II) for only £26.49.
