Space Harrier 3D for Nintendo 3DS has been revealed by Japanese video games website Gamer.

The article has been translated over on NeoGAF and reportedly states the 3D version is based on the arcade original, not the SEGA Mega Drive port. The game will be released via the eShop and is the beginning of a retro classics push on the 3DS.

Shame, as much as I have great memories of Space Harrier I was hoping it would be an updated version similar to what was done with Afterburner Climax.

This will be great on 3DS and so would Afterburner.

I imagine Rad Mobile is dreadful these days. So, thats out. Perhaps Outrun and Super Hang-On are being prepared.
