Sales of the PlayStation 3 expected to dramatically improve as the system's software line-up hits its stride.
According to a report on Tech.co.uk, Kaz Hirai has revealed that Sony Computer Entertainment expects to meet sales expectations of 11 million PS3 units sold by the end of March 2008.
The Sony Computer Entertainment boss said that sales of the flagging console will dramatically increase once the system's software catalogue gets into full swing.
There have also been repeated rumours of a new budget PS3 model equipped with a 40GB hard drive priced only £299, although currently nothing has been confirmed. The PS3 currently retails for £425 in the UK and comes bundled with two Sixaxis controllers and two first-party titles.
