Sony: PSPgo sales in line with expectations

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has told GamesIndustry.biz that in the week of the PSPgo launch, sales of PSP hardware are up 120 per cent in the UK.

"PSPgo has performed in line with our expectations, driving 100 per cent incremental volume for the category and has benefited the broad PSP portfolio with PSP-3000 also enjoying a big lift," said SCEE.

Without giving out specific sales information, SCEE also highlighted both Gran Turismo PSP and FIFA 10 as strong software performers.

From the figures I've seen for the UK for the past week or two, they're selling fewer PSP's than they did this time last year. PSPGo = fail.

PS3 Slim on the other hand is flying off the shelves and its really putting a hefty dent in 360's weekly sales.
