Sony offering 200 E3 seats to community members
News
First come first served - so get there in good time. Livestream on offer to those who can't get there in person.

Sony has announced that it is offering 200 community members a seat at the E3 2012 conference, working on a first come, first served basis.
The offer, detailed on the US PlayStation Blog, lets consumers be part of the event that is usually strictly for members of the video game industry.
If you can't get to LA on June 4, or simply don't want to risk turning up and not getting a seat, Sony will also livestream the entire conference on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Home, PlayStation.com, through the Nico Nico app on the PS Vita, on Ustream, Google Plus and Facebook.

I think it's great to let fans in the audience, because really it's as much a fan show as anything. Having fans watching the show is going to give a better idea of how the target demographic responds to the announcements. I would lol if some hecklers turned up and started shouting about crabs or something.
I'd hate to be a massively hungover journalist sitting next to some hyped up Sony fanboys while they shout at a Metal Gear Solid 5 trailer.
Is there some unwritten E3 rule that says no shouting at 9:30am conferences after a big party unless it's Zelda or Halo etc?
