I think asking the users how they want to take things forward is a good initiative.

Not too much if I'm honest.

Sure, there is always room for improvement but the most important factor is the games and of late PS3 owners have had it pretty good in that regard. I just hope that they can continue the current momentum.

Cross Game Voice Chat - Used it once I think since I've had my 360, not too bothered.

Software Emulation for PS2 games - Already have it and never use it, although if a good selection was offered on PSN I may purchase some of them as I sold most of my PS2 games.

Auto-Syncing Trophies - Don't care about trophies.

Fix the PS3’s web browser - I've got a laptop and don't actually mind the PS3 browser.

New Avatars - Aye...no. In fact if Sony bring in Mii's like MS did I will be thoroughly disappointed.

PS Button – Auto Read Message Upon Notification - Already have a button for that on my DS3 keypad.

Kevin Butler hosting the E3 Sony Press Conference! - Kevin Butler should host everything.

Listen to music when playing games - I generally listen to the games themselves.

What I would like is more PS1 games on the PSN store for my PSP.

I'm not really bothered about having soundtracks on my PS3 or Xbox or whatever choice of platform I am playing. I can listen to music by a cd player or by the means of my computer. Getting regular and exclusive content on the European PSN store would be great. The US & Japan receive quite a lot of good content which us Europeans can't get till at least couple of months. Thats my only moan about the PSN to be honest.

Game cross chat over will be great.

I don't think that was the intention tbh.
I agree with Steg on most of those as well, especially sorting out the PSN messaging, compared to the XBOX Live messaging it's pretty awful.

Cool! Looks like this is how people have interpreted it anyway, as the suggestions I've seen are all on how to improve the XMB functionality. I really hope this wasn't Sony trying to get ideas for games, because that would be depressing as hell.

Cross Game Voice Chat - Never going to use that.

Software Emulation for PS2 games - Already have it.

Auto-Syncing Trophies - It takes like 2 seconds to do it yourself...

Fix the PS3’s web browser - I've got a PC.

New Avatars - I care so much about avatars.......

PS Button – Auto Read Message Upon Notification - That'll be helpful.

Kevin Butler hosting the E3 Sony Press Conference! - YES! Now THAT'S an idea!!

I understand that opinion a lot more than what I thought you meant.
I totally don't feel the customers are experienced enough to be deciding what games should be made, merely how current games should be improved.

I suppose that was more aimed at game development and how the playstation experience as a whole should be improved. I don't want consumers deciding what games Sony should be making or how to improve the service with NEW ideas.

What is okay, and what seems to consist the majority of contributions, is technical updates, and Sony know very well that we want these issues sorted because consumers have been going on about them for 3 years now. This seems more like Sony doing a public survey so they can go and fix something they already knew was broken but disguise it as the users contributing.

I'm all for asking their customers directly, I feel more companies should take the same approach tbh.
"I don't think asking people what they want is a good idea"
@woffls Of course it's a good idea, it's how people develop on the hardware and foundations they've established in order to create a more satisfactory experience. If they didn;t listen to what their customers wanted, we'd end up with the same thing's annoying us over and over again.

I don't think asking people what they want is a good idea, otherwise you're only going to get what people know they like and no innovation, but that's how Sony Corp works I guess.

I'm about to diss Sony, so you might as well TD now. They just aren't innovating, simple as that. Their latest contribution is a shameless rip off of a controller they've been dissing for 3 years. Heavy Rain is a noteworthy exception, and they should be commended for giving David Cage lots of money.

They should know by now what software implementations we want; software emulation has been an issue ever since they stripped it out of the new SKU's; I STILL can't listen to music while playing games, for me this is an absolute deal-breaker for some purchases; new avatars is so offensively easy to implement that it should need to be raised as an issue. There's just so much they should have done by now with XMB (Newsflash! I hate the XMB despite how good it looks) but it seems like they've made the software too convoluted to expand upon easily.

Agreed Karlius, i would like to be able to play music from my ps3 during gameplay! Nothing like thrashing on Burnout and listening to Matrix soundtrack at the same time ;)

Also id like to see re releases of games from the past on PSN, examples are thing like every final fantasy game from the start, playable on PS3.

Maybe a next gen version of classics like Circuit Breakers and Hogs of war :)
