Sonic's Dreamcast 'classic' due later in the year.

dreamcastsonicadventure -

An HD revamp of Sonic Adventure 2 will release on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network this autumn, SEGA has announced.

The announcement was made during SEGA's Sonic Boom event held in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Sonic Adventure 2 is the latest SEGA classic to see an HD release. Earlier this month, SEGA announced that NiGHTS: Into Dreams would also release on XBLA and PSN this autumn, following Jet Set Radio in the summer.

You can watch the fan-shot video of the announcement below. Word of warning: Sonic fans can be ever so slightly over excitable.

No killer whales, but 2 player games and more emphasis on the races. It's a more balanced game than the first one too.
