The multiyear agreement gives SEGA the exclusive rights to develop and distribute games based on the upcoming Iron Man feature films and the classic comic book iterations of the superhero.

The first title will be based on the 2008 feature film, directed by Jon Favreau and staring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The film is down for release on May 2, 2008, so you can expect the game to arrive for next-gen platforms at around the same time.

SEGA also notes that the Iron Man agreement is "the first step in a strategic partnership between Marvel and SEGA to bring at least one additional Marvel Super Hero property to next-gen platforms."

With a release more than a year away, expect info to slowly trickle out throughout 2007.
