The latest edition of Nintendo Direct will begin broadcasting at 5pm GMT today, and we're promised a look at some of the titles coming to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in the remainder of 2012 and the first months of 2013.

Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata will be hosting the presentation.

Nintendo has previously used Nintendo Direct presentations to announce the Wii U launch details and reveal new information on upcoming titles.

We're not sure what will be included this evening, but news on Pikmin 3 seems a cert given the game appeared on the Japanese presentation earlier today. Hopefully we'll also get dates for The Wonderful 101 and LEGO City Undercover too.

It was a decent Nintendo Direct, there were some nice announcement of crucial dates and time periods, plus a couple surprises that I thought would never come out of Japan.

However, I would like to see a few more things. There wasn't any emphasis on third party games that weren't in some way Nintendo console exclusive. The only exception being some launch day stuff (which is already out), and Ninja Gaiden, which may as well be an exclusive since it was changed so much from prior versions. It would been nice to see some cross platform games being announced to be coming or at least mentioned, in the case f Alien and Injustice.
