Ignition's Banbury development studio is the latest studio to join Rebellion.

Rebellion has added Ignition's Banbury development studio - formerly Awesome Developments - to its growing list of in-house developers. The studio is known for its work on PSP, in particular Archer Maclean's Mercury and its sequels.

"This acquisition takes the Rebellion headcount to 280 full-time members of staff," said Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion. "We're fully booked with work until later in the year so these additional highly talented staff will be a valuable addition to the team."

Last year Rebellion acquired Tomb Raider dev Core Design and Strangelight Studios who were responsible for Starship Troopers.
