The Xbox One, PS4 and PC are very much alike, Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine has told Eurogamer.
"From a hardware perspective, the PC and the Xbox and the PS4 are very much similar beasts in a lot of ways now," he said, suggesting that it is the "software... and the services they provide" which will set the systems apart.
Levine and his team aren't, however, working on games for the next generation, with Irrational currently focussed on producing BioShock Infinite DLC Burial at Sea.
"We're really focused on [Burial at Sea]" he said. "I think there are some people who are... There are people in the team who are working on our engine technology in general. Just like, there are things you do, tools and stuff, but we've not really... This is our entire focus.
"And being a one-team company, really we don't even have the bandwidth to think about that stuff right now."
BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea will be released in two parts, but no release date has been set.
While Irrational claims to not be working on Xbox One or PS4, given the similarities in the next-gen tech to PC, what's to stop the dev porting over a shiny version of BioShock Infinite – complete with DLC – at some point in the new year?
