PS3 successfully hacked?

YouTube video shows games being installed and run from hard drive.

If internet reports and a YouTube video are to be believed, the PS3 has been hacked. The video hosted on YouTube shows a non-slim PS3 with some kind of device in the USB port. God of War 3 is shown being installed from the game disc onto the system's hard drive. A launcher menu is shown, from which InFamous is shown being loaded.

Hopefully Sony will be able to combat the hack with a new version of the PS3 firmware. Sony Europe issued a no comment when contacted earlier today.

2. How can we be sure that it wasn't just a God of War skin on an inFamous disc?

on the company website oz mod chips they are sellimg them for 170 australian dollars yet not talking about how it works or if sony are patching it

It will still only be a very percentage and far more difficult then a quick search shows to aquire software from other consoles, but yeah id imagine fw is being readied.
