PS2 and PSP sales down.
Sony's Networked Products & Services Division (PlayStation and VAIO) has reported a 24.2 per cent decrease in sales during the financial quarter ended September 2009 when compared to the same period in 2008.
The decrease has been attributed to "lower VAIO PC and game sales".
In the quarter, three million PSP units were sold, down from 3.2 million in the corresponding period last year, and PS2 sales were down 0.6 million units to 1.9 million. The PS3, however, managed a respectable increase in sales, up from 2.4 million units to 3.2 million units.
