Improves the playback quality of some PS3 and PSone format software.
Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network operations, has given word that PlayStation 3 firmware update v2.42 is now available to download.
All accounts seem to suggest it's a pretty minor update, with Lempel noting it "improves the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 and PlayStation format software".
