Ubisoft has today announced that a new Prince of Persia title is scheduled for release towards the end of 2008 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The Prince of Persia game, rumoured to be titled Prodigy, will be the fourth title in the successful Ubisoft franchise, following The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.
The game is in development at Ubisoft's award-winning Montreal studio and the same all-star team that created the previously acclaimed Prince of Persia trilogy.
Ubisoft says the new title is opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe, featuring a new breed of gameplay, said to rejuvenate the action adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style.
In addition to the console and PC title, Ubisoft will also release a Prince of Persia title specifically created for the Nintendo DS, featuring a new storyline and new characters.
