Sony is going to clear the PlayStation Store backlog in a few quick swoops when the PlayStation Store returns, though the date of PlayStation Store restoration is yet to be announced.

Writing on the US PlayStation Blog, Sony said that "to date, three Tuesday publishes were missed, which included items like Under Siege and the MotorStorm Apocalypse demo. Rest assured that you won't miss any of this great content. To catch up on the large amount of material, we'll be publishing to the PlayStation Store multiple times per week once commerce functionality is restored. We will update the PlayStation.Blog with information on timing of the Store restoration, as well as the full list of new content as each publish occurs."

The European PlayStation Store refreshes its content on Wednesday as opposed to Tuesday.

Last night Sony announced the free games you'll be allowed to choose two from when the PlayStation Store returns.

All PlayStation Network accounts registered before April 20 will receive 30 days of PlayStation Plus for free, with current PlayStation Plus subscribers being given 60 free days as compensation for the 25 days of downtime and loss of personal details.

I'm particularly looking forward to James' DLC Royal Rumble for the week when all this content is released on the PS3 at once. Knowing James, the Xbox 360 will probably still win.

It's not a dig it's a friendly bit of fun-spreading. James is also getting in on the fun-spreading - see if you can spot it on VideoGamer.com today!

Hah. Nice dig Martin. Can you imagine 360 winning with a load of PSN content? It could happen, of course. Depends what the PS3 content is.

60 Days more PSN+ is a great deal for me, another 2 months extra before I have to pay again.
