PlayStation 3 controller loses vibration

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 3 controller has lost its vibration functionality because it interfered with its sensors.

Shame on you Sony!! » Go to marc's original post if i'm gonna spend 6 hundo on a frackin video game system i better get whatever controller i want. i'm about to go create my own video game system. the 400$ 360 has amazing graphicsand i'm sure the ps3 will be a whole lot better. the controller vibration made halo 2 into what it is. think about what it would be like to play a shooter game without vibration? yeah exactly...it would be wierd and dumb as hell. everytime you would fire it wouldn't do anything. this makes the game less realistic to the player. thats the whole reason cibration was brought about in the fist place. it is supposed to be an advancement not a burden. if u dont like vibration just shut yur mouth. yur not allowed to talk anymore. all u do is ruin everything. someone needs to write a letter or something to playstation and tell them to get their shit straight and get real controller out for the PS3 by november or they are not going to sell very many ps3's and it will be a total flop. i guarantee it Report Reply

I play alot of PC, which has no vibration, and I still get a kick out of it as much as Halo 2 or any other console FPS. As for Games and Vibration well PS3 dreamers the tilt thing isn't even going to work as much as the new Nintendo, so looks like PS2 is just gonna be like a tv remote with no tilt and no vibration. Next Gen? You want Next Gen GRAPHICS buy a PC... the whole point in consoles was not the graphics it was what you could do in games how the games were played "like an arcade machine you just carried back from the amusements". as opposed to Simulations on PC Enuff said Reply

Shame on you Sony!! » Go to marc's original post Ok Technological if you had any idea you'd know that Sony Hi-Fis don't last longer than 3-4 years tops, their TVs I remember the Trinitron the tube blows and you had to pay more than what the tv cost to get it repaired playstation 1 cd drive packs up, PS2 the same problem they never fixed was the CD drive they're cheap the part holding up the lens would melt same as PSX and it meant you had to turn it upside and hang it from the ceiling and get a fright late at night thinking it was some kind of spider hanging. Sony are inexperienced in computer electricals MICROSOFT & NINTENDO are the DADDIES. I mean all these great games for Playstation yet I completed them ONLY on 1 difficulty setting and never played the game again but with Microsoft it's all about QUALITY I will play the same XBOX game over and over because they are so huge look at Halo you have like several ways of climbing up a mountain whether u wanna use grenades to get the Warthog ((jeep)) on it's side or whether u wanna drive or u wanna fly. I've never played any PS2 games like that.. So once again 36o 0wnz and it's got "vibration" who needs the tilt thing c'mon 4 players in one room playing tennis with a tilty controller how u gonna swing if ur not living in a huge house and by the time that comes out nintendo £150 and xbox 360 will be around £200 Sony is expected to be £500 and thats even if u choose it without the hard drive. Lots of ppl gonna be spending good money on Quality as opposed to your lame ass Sony Quantity. Reply

Which is a shame as the vibration really adds to the games, now what are they going to do ? The tilting technology the pad has, Has been slammed left, right and centre. Peeps saying they ripped off the Wii's tilt technology. Also the wireless tech used in the pad, is a blatant rip off from the 360 pad, anybody seen the lame LED lights on the top of the pad. As they can't have the ring of light. Also they completely ripped the idea for the guide button from the 360 pad. Shame on you Sony!! » Go to marc's original post if playstation are smart, they will devise a method so that both dual shock and the six axis circle can function. it merely means that one will need to be deactivated depending on the players preference. i dont know why sony have put so much emphasis on the axis system anyway, i enjoy the oldschool wire and dual shock; there is no substitute.
