Developers need to realize that controllers are getting to bulky, multiple buttoned pieces of crap! instead of adding feedback, lights or missiles launchers - be innovate like Nintendo. Think outside the box and get the player into the game.
For all the 360 lovers - how does it feel to be Gate's love monkey?

"The head of the company currently suing Sony for PS2 vibration patent infringement (Victor Viegas of Immersion) had this to say Monday:
"Viegas said that if Sony wants to discuss the problem, he's sure his company could eliminate any technical conflict between having both the motion sensitivity and the vibration effect in a PS3 controller and that Immersion also is ready to provide a "next-generation" level of force feedback for the console."

The only thing that should be worrying you is the 500 & 600 dollar price tags.
So what if Sony "stole" Nintendo's design? Art/Design is mostly stealing from others anyways. You take ideas from others and incorporate it into your own design. Look at ANY artist's work and you'll find another's ideas as part of the whole.

Highly unlikely. The game has to be coded to send a certain signal to the controller when it is time for a little tiny vibration, so the developers wont be including this in the code at all. I think you are out of luck.
I personally don't see what this tiny vibration is good for, unless u r sticking it under ur mums Kushinada Princess or.... wait, I'm getting sidetracked...
Seems to me the "6 axis circle-jerk" system (a.k.a. the WannaWii system) was a hastily constructed and horribly misconstrued afterthought - poorly implemented of course - much like everything we see from Sony. Sony likes to act like they've been working on this for some time now.
How is it then that they had to kill the "dual shock", when the Wiimote has no trouble using both, plus an onboard speaker... all while having MUCH more intense motion capabilities (not a 6 axis circle-jerk like the PS3)?
Also, how is it that developers are just now learning of this system - and I've yet to hear of any launch titles instantiating this at all, much less as the primary means of interaction?
Sony is dropping the ball.

Just buy a nice PC with a good graphics card.
FPS? Keyboard/mouse pwns 411!!
Anything else? Buy a USB controller. (lamer)
Xbox is a cheap computer with awful input devices (I'm talking about the gimp-troller)
PS3 is a shoddy tossed together mess with a gimptroller as well (PC outperforms it HUGELY)
Wii (PC OBVIOUSLY outperforms this, but at least it is worth buying from the standpoint of it not having a shoddy gimp-troller and actually trying to put you in the game a bit). Virtual Console will rock also.
Basically PC easily replaces xbox and gaystation, but not the Wii... hmmm..
Want Xbox Live? It's called cable internet.
gaystation fan(g?)boys want your dual shock back? Stick a vibrating dildo under ur computer chair, viola!
"...on it like a house on fire - smoked ya'..."
