Peter Moore: digital media will overtake boxed products by 2015

EA "will never abandon physical media", as long as people keep buying it.

EA COO Peter Moore has said that digital media will become more popular than physical products in "two or three years".

Speaking to Games Industry, Moore said: "There will come a point, whether it is two or three years from now, when we say. 'We are doing more in digital media now than we are in physical media,' and it's clearly ... not far away".

However, Moore also says that as long as there is a demand for boxed games, EA will make them, "We will never abandon physical media. As long as the consumer wants to buy something on a disc, we will be there to offer it."
