Nintendo DS tops 2009 Japanese hardware chart
At four million units, the handheld trumps all other platforms.
Famitsu publisher Enterbrain has published video game hardware sales figures for Japan, detailing totals for 2009, in addition to life-to-date totals.
The data was collected between December 29, 2008 and December 27, 2009. DS, PSP and PS3 sales include all variations.
The Nintendo DS is the year's clear winner with sales totalling an impressive four million units. Around two million units behind were the PSP, Wii and PS3, while the Xbox 360's 2009 performance saw only 331,706 units sold.
