Nintendo Channel launches on Euro Wii

Get all the latest Wii and Nintendo DS info plus download game demos and rate the games you've played.

Nintendo has announced the release of the latest channel for its Wii console. Nintendo Channel is available for free via the Wii Shop Channel and once downloaded will offer Wii users a new way to get the latest info on past, present and future games. This will include game footage, trailers and special videos created exclusively for the Nintendo Channel.

Users will also be able to provide feedback on the games they've played for more than an hour. This will then enable Nintendo to provide Wii users with new game recommendations based on their taste in games.

Most exciting is the channel's ability offer free playable game demos for Nintendo DS. By wirelessly connecting the Wii to a Nintendo DS, trial versions of Nintendo DS games can be sent to a DS and will remain playable until the handheld is turned off.
