Will be available to download in March.
Sony Computer Entertainment America's Scott Steinberg, VP of Product Marketing, has revealed via the official PlayStation Blog that the newly released Killzone 2 commercial will be released in a 'playable' form on the PlayStation Store next month.
"The idea for the commercial centred on telling the story of war on Helghan - up close and very personal and to use the game's engine to show it. No voodoo, no heavy metal soundtrack: just the true representation of the in-game graphics," explained Steinberg. "The team at Guerrilla embraced the concept and we were on a production rollercoaster ride that produced a piece that will be broadcasted across several networks starting tomorrow."
You can see the trailer now over on the official blog.
Come March PS3 gamers will also be able to take control of the camera in the ad, proving that what you see has been created using the PS3.
"To offer you some insight into the technology behind this game, we will release a playable version of this in-engine ad vignette on the PlayStation Network coming in March," added Steinberg. "You'll be able to control the camera and hear director commentary on how the production was completed using only the game's technology."
Look out for what Sony is calling Killzone in 4D next month. Killzone is scheduled for release only on PS3 on February 27.

I would use this advert with gameplay. As soon as that bullet hit the Helghast commander i would have the advert break into metal music and real gameplay footage, then end the advert with the Killzone 2 title and slogon.

Not seen any, as when Gears2 was coming out I saw it loads of times on TV. Poor marketing, and people say on here that gamers should back there exclusives.... More like a fundamental rule were the publishers get behind it as well. Lack of partnership there if you ask me.

Only the 60GB SKU with 4 USB slots and mem card reader will play ps2 games, the 40, 80 and 160GB won't
Sony took it ages ago so most ps3 won't run ps2 game.

Marky is a great example as he likes his PS2 and amongst others. Though you have to take into consideration that why would Sony want to kill the PS2 off when its still selling? The BC would of benefited the PS3 as of more sales but there you go really.
I just seen the Killzone 2 advert on Bravo, and its not the greatest I have seen for a high-profile game like Killzone. I liked the little footage at the end of the demo of KZ2, why didn't they use that instead? The music goes well with the footage they have put together.
