Beamdog's Trent Oster has taken to Twitter to announce details of the upcoming Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.

Here's what he's said:

Oster also revealed that he's returned to kickboxing classes after a week's absence and feels sore. No pain no gain, Trent – after all, that's the Baldur's Gate spirit.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will be released for PC, Mac and iDevice this summer.

I think I would tend to agree with you there.

Though I dislike the absence of character classes in some of the more recent RPGs. I dont really feel like being able to choose any skills enhances the game. I like to be able to answer the question: Who are you? Without having to reel off a string of little choices I've made to the point where whoever asked the question no longer cares what my answer is.

When someone asks me what I do for a living, I say i'm a software developer. I dont list all the languages and technologies I know :P

Anyway. I still havent played Dragon Age 2, though it was poorly received by most. I can always rent it.

I was going to get around to playing them both a couple of years back when Dragon Age: Origins started getting hype, then ended up getting Origins instead. Way I see it, that's the enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate.

You have a serious problem :P

Call yourself an RPG gamer! :P

My versions of those were all in cardboard boxes, old style!! lol

Disappointing it's PC only. I cant justify buying PC games when I cant afford the maintenance of a gaming PC.
