While Sony is doing its best to lose all customer confidence in the PlayStation brand following the loss of users' personal data, Microsoft has issued a security message of its own in an attempt to prevent Xbox LIVE players from being scammed.

A matchmaking service alert states: "Users may receive potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging while playing Modern Warfare 2.
"We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."

Phishing is the act of acquiring vital data such as credit card information under false pretence - pretending to be from a company and requesting you update account information.

Under no circumstance when playing Modern Warfare should you respond to messages with your credit card or personal information.

In my opinion they are terrible games. Really bad. But that's my opinion and i also think the only COD game(s) that are decent are the PS2 versions plus COD 4.

Why? Because you are a moron and would get scammed if you did? Because otherwise it literally changes nothing.

Don't try to turn this into a game debate. It sounds desperate and makes you seem like a idiot. I don't love CoD, but they aren't terrible games.
