Won't rule out possible Blu-ray adoption in the future.
Jeff Bell, Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing for Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, has told 1UP that despite recent moves by leading HD DVD partners to the Blu-ray camp, it remains committed to the format.
"Our commitment, however, to HD-DVD is profound and consistent, and we have done very, very well in term of our accessory sales," said Bell. "We have 400 HD-DVD movies from great studios available."
That's not to say the software giant won't support Blu-ray in the future if the market demands it.
"You never say never. I think we'd like to see how things evolve," said Bell, later noting that much can happen "between now and June" - the time at Which Warner plans to drop support for HD DVD.
