More rumours on new model Xbox 360

Sources at Australian retail chain Myers have leaked Microsoft's plans to release a new black Xbox 360 with HDMI and a 120GB hard drive.

MCV reports that employees of the Australian retail chain Myers have blown the lid on Microsoft's plans to launch a new feature-rich Xbox 360 to scupper the upcoming PAL launch of the PlayStation 3.

The rumour suggests that the new console will retail for AUS $749 (that's under £300) and will include an HDMI port, a 120GB hard drive and will be black in colour. The source of the rumour also indicates that the new version Xbox 360 was actually demoed to the gathered retailers and should be available towards the end of March/early April.

Microsoft has refused to confirm or deny the rumour, merely telling MCV that no such product has been announced.
