Unsure if next consoles will have a disk drive.
At the PLAY Conference during "The Monetization Game" panel, EA Sports boss Peter Moore spoke about the transition from physical media to a digital generation, stating he believes it will be at least a decade before physical media is abandoned.
"[The industry is] at least a decade away from saying goodbye to a physical disc," said Moore. "The more important question is what does the next generation of console look like?"
On the subject of the next generation of console, Moore questioned whether it will have a disk drive or just an internet connection. Whatever the outcome, Moore added that he believes it will be Microsoft that makes the first move.

I think Physical media is better for the consumer mind.

Anyway, I think physical media will work better for most as id rather buy a hard copy of something and have the chance to take it back etc. Then there are Christmas presents and birthday presents - people who want games will have to be given money. that doesn't give the same effect as having them open the game and seeing there faces.
All in all i think going totally digital would be a bad idea.
