I would suspect that the reason it is not mentioned is that probably the male to male one would not contain nudity. So unless they plan on producing pornography I do not think that would show anything. Breasts are considered nudity in many places and so that would justify the warning.

Anyone else find it disturbing how violence is simply accepted in entertainment while sex is taboo? One is a natural part of human life that leads to creation, one is destruction and sorrow. It's pathetic.

I didn't know that there was the possibility for homosexual relationships in Jade Empire - it certainly wasn't mentioned to me as being possible when I reviewed the game... Damn, I wish I could push that mark up beyond the 10 I gave it in the first place now...

Kudos for being brave enough to include it the game. I think that most games still have a problem dealing with sex and emotional relationships: either a terrible lack of depth or a distinctly crude and tacky attitude bordering on titillation that so unsexy it's laughable. (MetalHeart: Replicant Rampage, that's you and your ludicrous pole-dancing scene I'm talking about right here!)

I think that's probably more a fault of the expectations of the target audience than anything else, (not to mention that of the press - I can just see the headline on the Daily Mail now: "VIDEOGAMES TURN YOUR CHILDREN INTO HOMOSEXUALS! BAN THIS EVIL FILTH!") but it would be nice to see developers put as much work into creating believable relationships between characters and NPCs as they do in creating cool guns, weapon effects and model dismemberment animations...

He meant that violence only lead to destruction and sorrow, while sex in inherently an act of creation, ie. it makes babies.

Representing emotional relationships in games is one thing; featuring a sex scene in a game is quite another. Has human imagination deteriated to a point where a person can't fill the blank in the "fade out" on his own? Go out have emotional relationships and sex for REAL, fercryingoutloud! Bad enough every TV show features nudity and sex scences now to get any kind of rating (the new Battlestar Galactica comes to mind, sadly). Killing, maiming, burning; these are fine in any media. Better get you frustration out on some pixles with audio files then in the school yard. But, seriously, people don't need any more reasons to have fictional relations with fictional characters. Use imagination where applicable and find some life in between. Seriously!
