Mass Effect 2 PS3 gets launch DLC for free
Time-limited offer gives bonus weapon and armour for free over launch weekend.
Anyone grabbing the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 when it launches can also pick up a cache of free DLC from PSN for a limited time.
The news is detailed on BioWare's Facebook page. The Terminus armour, only available previously as a pre-order incentive on the 360 version, makes you look a bit like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. It comes complete with the M-490 Blackstorm Projector Weapon, which blows things up a treat.
After February 23, however, users will be required to sacrifice actual money for access to the Terminus Gear.
The PS3 version of the game also comes complete with the other batches of premium DLC on the disc: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord and Kasumi.
Mass Effect 2, which VideoGamer.com officially decreed the third best game of 2010, will finally find itself in the PS3 section of game stores on January 21.

I dont care about exclusives. Yes i went to get fable 3 JUST because i knew ps3 players wont get it, Get a life.
Anyone who likes RPG games should Defo get this for Ps3 it is a must buy. Its the type of game that makes you feel that your in part of a movie it keeps you gripped all the way through plus the excellent graphics.

PS3 last year had great games and multi format titles, and this year is going to be another blast for me :) 360 lacked last year with only Halo Reach and Fable 3 at the end. But this year hopefully will have surprises for the console.

360 has games just a shame you can't play them with a console that goes rrod all the time.

Anyway on Mass Effect 2 DLC on launch is good are there any other plans though to have the rest of the DLC availiable. As most of it was pointless when you completed the game.

I like the staff on this site but their PS3 knowledge can be limited at times.
Just listen to the podcast that talks about trophies and you can tell they have almost no experience of them.
That said,I think they are professional and their reviews are balanced well, despite their personal preferences.
The podcasts/reviews are what keep me coming back.

I can't really pinpoint exactly what it is about the simple act of playing the game that turns me off but I probably won't buy it.
I guess there's a reason I hadn't picked it up for 360 yet either.
