Ubisoft has announced that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be getting a season pass that will be available to purchase alongside the game at launch on August 29. This announcement was followed by details for its post-launch plans, which will include new weapons, additional solo challenges, cooperative maps and extra story content.
Players who buy the season pass will be able to get eight exclusive steampunk-styled weapons, and each will have its own varying statistics. Later in 2017, season pass holders will be able to build on their skills with new challenges that can be played alone or with a friend on a set of new maps. Finally, in 2018, season pass holders will receive brand new story content for the game.Â
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle begins after an unexpected encounter between Mario and the Rabbids. The group join forces to to restore order to the Mushroom Kingdom which has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is out on August 29 for Nintendo Switch.
