Speaking to Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Ueda said that his next game would be on the PlayStation 3, but as with all his games it will be a long time coming. He said that the usual three years it take for him to develop a game is too long, but fears that the extra complexity associated with next-gen development could result in his first PlayStation 3 game taking a long time to complete.
Ueda also said how he and his team would like to develop a game for the PSP, and have wanted to do so for some time. He said how his team are good at making life-like games, but thinks something different might be right for the PSP, suggesting that characters might have giant heads (an ICO port with big heads then. Remember where you read that first).
