The Buzz: Well placed sources suggest the internet giant will shortly complete the acquisition of Valve.

The Inquirer reports that Google is expected to make a shock acquisition of Valve, the development studio behind the hit Half-Life series and the popular digital distribution platform Steam.
The website notes that it is Steam which is the biggest attraction for Google, with the competition unlikely to be able to compete with a new Google backed platform. Steam already boasts 15 million user accounts and has support from almost all major software publishers.
There's no solid source for the info, but we expect to hear word either way soon.
