Tiger, the manufacturer of the failing Gizmondo handheld has reported losses of $210 million for the first half of the year.
According to the report the company had difficulty during 2002, 2003 and 2004, which has been put down to "challenging industry conditions" and the "high development costs associated with developing the Gizmondo". These years saw a combined net loss of $118.1 million.
2005 doesn't seem to be offering much in the way of profits either with losses of $210 million for the first half of the year. This news comes days after the announcement of a widescreen Gizmondo, despite the fact the original Gizmondo is yet to be released in the US. With such large net losses one wonders how much longer Tiger can keep the dream of a successful Gizmondo console alive.
