Games added to Google+
Angry Birds, Bejewelled and more join social network.
Google has surprised no one by adding games to its social network Google+. Developers with games on the service include Zynga, Rovio, PopCap, EA, Wooga, Playdom, Digital Chocolate, Funzio, Kabam, and GameHouse.
"With the Google+ project, we want to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web," the company said in a blog post. Google+ caused quite a storm when it launched in June, with its key differentiators from Facebook being the ability to create specific social groups and control who sees what in their feed.
"But sharing is about more than just conversations. The experiences we have together are just as important to our relationships. We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life."
Games on the service include Dragon Age Legends, Bejewelled, Zynga Poker and Angry Birds. Google+ games include invites and accomplishments.
