GAME is to update its GAME Reward Card terms and conditions on October 29, reducing the amount of points customers will receive for every pound spent.

Currently customers receive 1 point for every £0.10 spent, but under the new terms will receive 1 point for every £0.125 spent. It's a slight change, but enough to make a difference

£40 pound spending used to earn you 400 reward points, which equates to £1 to spend with GAME. You'll now have to spend £50 to earn your £1.

You'll find the full terms on the GAME website.

Update: GAME has defended its decision to change the Reward Card - read the full statement.

Might explain why they sent me 1000 points.

I used all my points up when there was rumors when they were going bust. I haven't used them since.

Because they provide an essential service.

I guess they have to cut costs like everyone else in the country, though, so it's not surprising. But isn't the whole card system changing pretty soon anyway?

Our local Gamestation is getting ready for next week's rebranding to GAME.

"I feel dirty and used"

That made me laugh until i realised i felt the same. Seems like they have gotten worse since the big change over.

They need to take a leaf out of ShopTo's website (who took a leaf out of Game's originally) and have a reward scheme like theirs.

I don't really use my point card any more as I don't buy anything from there very often, and when I do I feel dirty and used. Much like their used game system.
